WHY:

Because through all my trials and tribulations, through all my struggles, and triumphs, God has given me another chance to make a change.

He has given me the opportunity to change my course of direction, not once or twice, but every time I find myself in a bind.

Therefore, I truly believe; when you look down you should always pick one up, a person in need.

To God Be The Glory!

We work with individuals who are struggling through life and need a rescue plan.

We also work with individuals who are experiencing a health crisis and need help to restructure their way of living.

The Power of

One

One of many who held my hand along my journey, Ms. Jenny Laster.
Ms. Laster established Grassroot Leadership Academy. The program she created was powerful and illuminating. The information I received from Grassroot Leadership Academy and the opportunity to apply it through the Power of One Project, armed me with the tools I needed to recreate myself.

From that program I became a Community Activist and a Motivational Speaker.

Thank you, Ms. Jenny!

My reason for establishing Anu U-Rising

I have assisted several family members and friends when they were experiencing a health crisis.

After helping them get resituated I realized that not everyone has someone who is compassionate, patient, honest, and supportive and who will fulfill the role as an advocate and help them maneuver through the healing process.

Furthermore, when I experienced my life altering trauma of homelessness, depression, and confusion with life, God placed me in a place that was uncomfortable. I did not want to be there, which drove me deeper into depression. During that time, God placed people around me who showed me love and patience. They poured love into my spirit and taught me wise ways of functioning in society. They trained me in many areas of being an American citizen, which many of us take for granted because we believe we are born free. I learned my rights and responsibilities as an American citizen. This was life changing and gave me an understanding of my purpose in life. I emerged as a community activist and a motivational speaker.

Both situations warrant someone to do the little things that made a big difference on my life’s journey.

I honor God and those who held my hand through my process by providing the same love, compassion, wisdom, information, and opportunities to others, as they provided for me.

My words of wisdom: When you look down, always pick one up, a person in need.

Blessings,
